AI/ML Resident at Apple exploring audio and speech recognition tasks.
My research interest includes developing data-efficient ML algorithms, such as active, meta, semi-, and weakly-supervised learning for both classification and generation tasks across various modalities in the form of image, text, and audio.
I am also generally interested in deep learning theory, probabilistic modeling and kernel methods.
I obtained my PhD in computer science at UBC under the supervision of Prof. Danica J. Sutherland, and my bachelor’s and master’s from UC Berkeley and UMass, Amherst, respectively.
Previously, I also worked as a research intern at Borealis AI from 2022 to 2023 with Gabriel L. Oliveira and Fred Tung.
